Where

You are invited to attend this one-hour event designed to spread best practices from the ETCLC community. During this Town Hall, participants will have time to ask questions, interact with other attendees, and join in the active learning process.

Facilitator: Megan Bell, RN, MSN, AGACNP-BC, CCTC Associate Director, Abdominal Transplant Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center Panelists:

  • Jennifer Milton, BSN, MBA Chief Administrative Officer University Health Transplant Institute, San Antonio, TX
  • Andrea Tietjen, MBA, CPA Assistant Vice President, Transplant Administration Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center TBD

Objectives:

  • Identify how transplant programs track and review kidney declines.
  • Understand how reviewing declines can increase organ offer acceptance rates.
  • Explore who is involved in review decline meetings, the frequency of reviews, how is data collected and follow-up of declined kidneys.
  • Consider the IOTA model as this addresses the need for transparency of declined organ offers and communicating to patients.

You should have received the ETCLC panelist calendar invite save-the date. I am in the process of reaching out to two additional transplant programs for their participation and will provide an update as soon as this is available. In the meantime, we welcome any questions that you may have about this activity.
